On Monday 14 November 2022, the European Commission will launch in a hybrid event from Brussels, the Transition Pathway for the Proximity and Social Economy ecosystem.
Join us for this event by registering here to attend in person or online (in person places are limited). The event will be opened by Commissioner Thierry Breton, and will gather key stakeholders as Patrizia Toia MEP (Co-Chair of the Social Economy Intergroup), Panagiotis Tournavitis CEO of the Cooperative Bank of Karditsa and Board member of FEBEA, Hilde Schwab, Chair of the Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship of the World Economic Forum, or Jeanne Bretecher, President of our partner SOGA Europe, among others.
The Pathway is the result of a co-construction work launched in December 2021 in parallel to the Social Economy Action Plan through the EC staff working document Scenarios towards co-creation of a transition pathway for a more resilient, sustainable and digital Proximity and Social Economy industrial ecosystem. In February 2022, 80 social economy stakeholders, including Social Economy Europe and six of its members (AIM, CECOP, ENSIE, ESS-France, FEBEA and REVES), replied and provided pledges to the consultation on the Pathway. Furthermore,12 consultation meetings and workshops have been held reaching out to over 400 ecosystem stakeholders.
