The Way Forward for the Social Economy

Implementing SEAP- Social Economy and Proximity Transition Pathways & more

Busy times for the European Social Economy Community!

An important GECES (Expert Group on Social Economy and social enterprises) meeting took place on the 25th January concerning the implementation of the Social Economy Action Plan (SEAP), with Commissioner for Jobs and Social Rights Nicolas Schmit and Director General Kerstin Jorna (Internal Market, Entrepreneurship and SMEs). Similarly, other relevant events have been held in the last days as the launch of the Social Good Week 2022, and presentation of SEAP organised by ESS-France. A national umbrella organisation that these days can celebrate the positive evolution of jobs in the social economy in France, +4.7% more jobs in the second trimester of 2021 compared to the second trimester of 2020, an evolution which is more positive than the rest of the private sector, and that represents 95,822 new employees in the French Social and Solidarity Economy, click here to find out more (thanks to the French National SSE Observatory run by ESS-France).
