CEDAG open meeting: "Social Entreprise and the Social Business Initiative : What role for Civil Society Organisations ?"

    Vlaams-Europees, rue Cortenbergh 71, B-1000 Brussels

"Invited to the 25th November meeting will be the European Commission departments involved (Enterprise, Internal Market and Employment/Social affairs) as well as representatives of other European networks in the social economy. The aim will be to present the Commission document, and to analyse and discuss the reactions to it in the preceding weeks. On the agenda will be capacity building to understand which legal framework to advocate to help social enterprise grow and flourish, as well as discussion about how the measures should be financed, since it is clear that the EU’s structural funds alone will not be sufficient.

The meeting will help CEDAG member organisations to understand and disseminate the European Commission proposals, and find their relevance at national level. We will discuss how to ensure that activities are fully and correctly implemented at in each national setting, to make sure that civil society actors benefit from them as much as possible. Finally this will be an opportunity to share good. "
