Luso-Spanish seminar on social economy organized by the Cooperative Sergio Antonio for the social economy (CASES).
The seminar program includes three sessions:
The first concerns the creation and operation of the Council for the Promotion of the social economy of Spain, as well as the forthcoming adoption of a law on the social economy in Spain (involvement of the Director General of the social economy from the Spanish Government, Mr Juan Jose Barrera, and Professor Rui Namorado, from the University of Coimbra).
The second session will focus on the importance of satellite accounts for the social economy (presentation by Professor José Luis Monzón Campos, President of CIRIEC-Spain and Director of the Spanish observatory for the social economy - with the participation of representatives of the Portuguese Institute of National Statistics).
The third session will be a roundtable on the challenges of the social economy in Portugal and Spain as an alternative to the crisis (participation of Juan Antonio Pedroza, Chairman of CEPES (Spanish Business Confederation of Social Economy , Roque Amaro, president of ANIMATE (Portuguese Association for Local Development); Lino Maia, president of the CNIS (National Confederation of solidarity institutions), Aldine Fernandes, Secretary Deputy General CONFAGRI (Confederation of Agricultural Cooperatives and Farm Credit of Portugal), Jerónimo Teixeira, president of Confecoop (Portuguese Confederation of Cooperatives), Manuel de Lemos, president of the Portuguese Union of Mercy (UMP), and José Ramalheira, president of the Union of Portuguese mutuals ( UMP).
