The Training programme named ‘Charles V’ was organised by Social Economy Europe, to providean overview of the social economy in Europe.
● The programme focused on key issues for social economy enterprises and organisations, and the development of public policies promoting the social economy such as the situation of the social economy throughout the European Union, the policies of the EU institutions in favour of the social economy, the various national policies, the EU funding opportunities for social economy’s enterprises and organisations, opportunities and challenges for the social economy’s development at European level, etc.
● The purpose was to inform about EU bodies and decision-making authorities responsible for the social economy’s projects.
● The programme provided the opportunity to meet EU political decision-makers on the Social Economy, i.e. MEPs, European Commission civil servants, members of the European Economic and Social Committee, and of the Committee of the Regions as well as experts and representatives of the European social economy.
